Zlín

Zlín is a beautiful city situated in south Moravia. It is well-known thanks to shoe-making and two world famous entrepreneurs – Antonín and Tomáš Baa, who gave the city a specific character by building low-cost brick houses. Nowadays, Zlín is a cultural, industrial and trade center.

About 80 thousands inhabitants live in Zlín. Town is proud of its diverse city-center, which lies only few minutes away of ice-hockey stadium. Not far away from Zlín is ZOO and a Lešná castle, both favored by tourists.

Ice-hockey club PSG Zlín plays in the highest league called Tipsport extraliga. In 2004, Zlín finished first and became Czech champions in this competition. There are two ice hockey stadiums, situated side-by-side – main stadium called Zimní stadion Luïka Èajky, which is older but constantly modernized, and PSG arena, which serves mainly as a training rink.

Pøerov

Town Pøerov lies in Olomouc region at the edge of Hornomoravský úval at Haná, on the river called Beèva. It has a little less than 50 thousand inhabitants and is important transport crossroad and industrial and military center. Many companies have their residences in Pøerov as well as headquarters of 23. helicopter air fleet of Edvard Beneš.

City has a beautiful historical center, part of which was in 1992 declared “historical urban zone”.

Ice hockey team HC Zubr Pøerov plays only in third division, but it has recently reconstructed ice hockey stadium and every facilities. Stadium capacity, often sold-out during HC Zubr matches, is 3000 spectators.
